ZERO-TRUST PDF

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Two things matter more than anything else on this page, so they go first. The PDF files you open with the tools on this site are processed entirely inside your browser and are never uploaded to any server. And this site is supported by advertising served by Google, which sets cookies in your browser.

Both of those are true at the same time. A site can leave your documents alone and still be an ordinary ad-supported web page, and pretending otherwise in either direction would be the dishonest version of this document.

Your documents

When you add a PDF to the redaction, flatten or metadata tool, the file is read into your browser's memory and worked on there. It is not transmitted anywhere. There is no upload endpoint, no storage bucket, and no server-side processing of any kind, because the site is a set of static files with no backend behind it.

You can confirm this rather than take our word for it. Let the page finish loading, disconnect from the network, and then add your document and export it. The whole thing still works, because everything the tool needs was fetched before you dropped the file. To be precise about the limits of that: it is this page that keeps working, not the site. Moving to another page here is an ordinary navigation and needs the network like any other website. If you prefer a different check, open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab, and add a file: nothing leaves.

The exported file is generated in the page and handed to your browser as a download. We never see it, never receive a copy, and could not produce one if we were asked to. When you close the tab, the document and everything derived from it are gone from memory. Nothing about your file is stored on this site, because there is nowhere on this site to store it.

Hosting and server logs

Delivering a web page still requires a server to answer a request, and that request carries information whether anyone wants it to or not: your IP address, the address of the page you asked for, your browser's user-agent string, and the time. This site is hosted on Cloudflare, and Cloudflare processes and logs that request data in the ordinary course of serving traffic, in the same way every web host does.

That is a fact about how the web works rather than a feature of this site, and it applies to the page you are reading now. It does not apply to your documents, which are never part of a request.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It was chosen because of what it does not do: it sets no cookies, it does not fingerprint your device, and it does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. What it reports back is aggregate — page views, referring sites, countries, broad device categories.

Google Analytics is deliberately not used here. It would contradict the rest of this page and it would create a consent problem that Cloudflare's version does not.

Advertising

The site is free and is paid for by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, and depending on your settings those cookies may be used to personalize what you see based on your previous visits to this and other sites. Google may also use a cookie to limit how many times you see a particular ad and to measure whether an ad worked.

You have direct control over that, and it does not run through us. VisitMy Ad Center to turn personalized advertising off or adjust what it uses, orGoogle ads settings for the same controls. Turning personalization off does not remove ads; it makes them less targeted. Your browser's own cookie settings can block or clear these cookies as well.

Your documents are not part of any of this. Ads are served to the page, and the page has no access to the contents of a file you opened in the tool.

Current status of the two sections above

As of August 12, 2026, advertising is not yet live on this site and the analytics beacon is not yet installed. The two sections describe how each works once enabled, and they are written now because a privacy policy should be in place before the thing it describes, not after. This paragraph will be removed when both are running.

What this site does not do

There are no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no credentials to lose. There is no mailing list. Nothing you type into the tools, including the search box in the verify panel, is transmitted or recorded. No data is sold, because there is no data collected here to sell.

Note the shape of that claim. It is not that this site is free of tracking of any kind — it serves Google ads, and those set cookies, and that is tracking by any reasonable definition. The claim is narrower and it is the one that matters when you are holding a sensitive document: your file is not part of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
