One address, read by one person:hello@redactpdffree.com
There is no support desk, no ticket system and no phone number, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Expect a reply within a few days rather than a few hours. Some messages will not get one, usually the ones that are not really questions.
Please do not attach the document
This comes first because it is the request most likely to be ignored, and the one that matters. If you are writing about a file that did not process correctly, describe what happened rather than sending it.
The entire argument of this site is that your documents stay with you. Emailing one here undoes that in a single click: it puts a copy on a mail server, then a second copy in an inbox, then a third wherever that inbox is backed up. It cannot be handled as carefully as you would handle it yourself, and it is not wanted.
A description is almost always enough. If it genuinely is not, a file made from scratch that reproduces the same problem with no real information in it is welcome.
Reporting something broken
Useful things to include: which tool you were using, your browser and its version, your operating system, whether you were on a phone or a computer, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. If your browser showed an error, the text of it helps. Roughly how large the document was and how many pages it had is often the detail that explains everything.
Bugs affecting whether a redaction actually removed content are the ones to send first, and they will be looked at before anything else.
Corrections
The pages here make specific technical claims, and specific claims can be wrong. If something is inaccurate, out of date, or true in general but false for a particular reader or platform, please write. Corrections are made and the page is changed rather than argued with. Being wrong in public and fixing it is the arrangement this site is built on.
Privacy and legal
Questions about the privacy policy or the terms go to the same address. Because no accounts exist and no files are received, there is generally no personal data held here to request, correct or delete beyond whatever is in the email you send.
What cannot be helped with
Recovering a document. If you redacted a file, downloaded it, and then lost the original, there is no copy here to send you — not as a policy, but as a fact about how the site is built. Nothing was ever uploaded, so nothing was ever stored. That is the same property that makes the tool worth using, and it cuts both ways.
Reading a document that somebody else redacted is also outside what this project will help with, whatever the reason for asking.
